This workshop proposes an approach to the narrative techniques of four contemporary American short story writers: George Saunders, Ottessa Moshfegh, David James Poissant, and Bonnie Jo Campbell. Its main objective is for participants to practice their own writing and dare new expressive forms. It also seeks to provide participants with tools for reading and analyzing short forms.

The workshop sessions will consist of two parts. In the first, the stories of the selected narrators will be jointly analyzed. In the second part, work will be done on the attendees' own texts.
